🚨 MARKETS ENTER SEPTEMBER IN RISK-OFF MODE

After an extremely volatile August, global markets are kicking off September under renewed risk-off pressure. Reports of attacks on two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz pushed Brent crude above $90 a barrel, reigniting fears of higher inflation and tighter monetary policy worldwide.

📈 The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield has climbed to its highest level in two decades, adding further pressure to risk assets and raising concerns about global financing conditions.

🇺🇸 On the macro agenda, investors will focus on a series of U.S. manufacturing and industrial activity indicators, as well as the July JOLTS report, looking for clues about the strength of the labor market and the Federal Reserve’s next moves.

⚠️ September is starting with oil, yields and geopolitics back at the center of the market narrative.
