$NEAR With this appearance on the leaderboard, I’m bullish from here.
It’s not that it suddenly learned to fly on its own. It’s that along this husband-chain track, people have started turning back to the warehouse again. $NEAR just happens to get called out at precisely this time.
Spot is only $36.11M, while futures have already pushed to $140.88M—about 3.9x difference.
Price is around $1.984, and in the past 24 hours it went from $1.834 up to $2.001. This kind of move looks like momentum surged first due to emotion, and then the later hands followed to fill in.
The funding rate is only +0.0100%, not “hot” at all.
But open interest has piled up to 40,598,002 $NEAR , which suggests money has come in—but it hasn’t gotten to the point of being completely out of control. A lot of people are using it as a carry/acceptance spot for sector rotation, not mindless frenzy.
Also, 229,254 trades says a lot.
This isn’t a one- or two-big-order show to prop up the facade—there really are people in the market actively going back and forth trading it.
Now, if you ask me whether this will definitely keep surging, I don’t agree.
Husband-chain rotation love to throw in a fake—chasing the move too fast can easily get you hit by a slapback.
But if I have to choose a side, I’m still slightly on the bullish side.
With this volume structure and narrative resonance, at least right now, viewing it as a “revival of an old name” doesn’t seem fully priced in. Do you think $NEAR is just riding the heat this time, or is it finally its turn to catch up on the rally?
