-- Charter Communications’ stock fell 1.8% in pre-market trading after the company late Monday disclosed that its CFO, Jessica Fisher, will resign effective 15/10/2026, to pursue another professional opportunity in a different geographic location. Fisher, who joined Charter nearly a decade ago and has served as CFO since 2021, has been a key figure in leading the company through several major transactions. The company has appointed Kevin Howard, currently Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Controller, as interim CFO, while launching a comprehensive search for a permanent replacement.
The timing of the departure adds further concerns for investors. Fisher’s exit comes just a few weeks after Charter completed its landmark acquisition of Cox Communications for $34.5 billion—an deal that created a broadband internet giant with about 38 million subscribers, but at the same time significantly increased the company’s debt burden. Charter stated that Fisher’s resignation is not connected to any disagreement with management, and that there has been no change to its financial outlook or policies, although markets have reacted cautiously
