Gu Jingci: September 1st—Bitcoin/Ethereum range-bound consolidation; gold falls first

Bitcoin/Ethereum bottomed out since yesterday’s early session and rebounded all the way to the recent pre-dawn peak around 79,200 and 2,490. We re-established our short positions yesterday at 78,500 and 2,455, as well as adding shorts near 2,490; we are still holding those positions. Ethereum’s average price is currently around 2,473, and it doesn’t have much room left. The short setup above SOL 103.5 still has some room, but it’s not very large either. However, the gold short ideas we entered again around 4,450 to 4,460—taking it down to the 4,370 area and capturing over 80 points—are also clearly visible. Since the market is showing a relatively slow rise-then-fall pattern, you can continue to patiently hold the big coin/Ethereum short positions while waiting for further downside.

On the daily and 4-hour levels, the MA lines overhead are still clearly under pressure. They have repeatedly surged up to the MA area and then pulled back and fallen. But during the downside move, there have also been up-and-down fluctuations—so whether bulls or bears are dominant is still not very clear. It depends on how strong the pullback is during the evening and into the early hours. As long as there is a pullback and drop, the shorts can hold the corresponding space. For short-term reference, watch support around 77,000 and 2,400—take it step by step and follow the market. Analysis and strategy are for reference only; risks are your own responsibility.
