🔥 Just as Trump predicted, Hyperliquid is steadily moving into the U.S. market
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, is reportedly in discussions to become the first major platform to offer on-chain perpetual futures products to U.S. traders through its regulated infrastructure.
The development became more interesting two weeks ago, when a platform called Kraken HIP-3 Test DEX unexpectedly appeared on Hyperliquid’s testnet.
The key detail: the DEX was configured with specialized controls designed to support strict regulatory and compliance requirements, potentially making it suitable for the U.S. market.
This could be a significant step for Hyperliquid.
The protocol has already built substantial traction in on-chain derivatives, but gaining access to U.S. traders would open the door to a much larger and more regulated market.
The market has also been paying attention.
Since Donald Trump’s speech, $HYPE has climbed nearly 50%, from around $57 to $84.
With daily trading volume reaching roughly $4 billion, HYPE has also climbed into the top 10 crypto assets by market capitalization, currently ranking around #9 — ahead of assets such as ZEC and DOGE.
If Hyperliquid can successfully bridge its on-chain derivatives infrastructure with U.S. regulatory requirements, this could mark a major transition from being a crypto-native derivatives venue to becoming part of the broader U.S. financial market.
