😩😩Crying and replaying what happened:

Last night, the contract grid for $ACE cut losses. I’m down 464.22u—haven’t felt this intense pain from losing money for a long time. It hurts so much. Every cent I lost was caused by my low level of cognition—water in my head.

This trade was extremely ridiculous, extremely brainless. At the time, I didn’t even check what $ACE is, what it does, or its historical price action. I just hadn’t opened a position in a long time, I was itching to trade, and this coin has been running a loan-coin ranking event recently. I just assumed, “Since there’s an event, it definitely isn’t trash” (not the first time 😭).

Then I just glanced at its recent K-line. I didn’t even look closely at support and resistance. I figured it had pumped 100% recently, so it should consolidate a bit. So I rashly opened a neutral contract grid suggested by the AI app interface.

The most tragic part is that when I was down 50, 130, 280, and 350, I had plenty of chances to stop the loss—but I ignored them. I kept thinking it would bounce back…

Actually, after I got trapped, I researched this gamefi token that reached its peak at issuance. Even during bull markets, its historical trend has always been extremely nasty: it kept dropping relentlessly, and any rebounds were only super exaggerated long upper wicks on the daily chart. Plus, there will be token unlocks in September. You could say that before I opened the trade, that move up with the overall market had already happened—it was a repeat of history. I knew I should cut my losses, but I kept fantasizing that it might just “jump like a dead cat” and then I could escape.

A dead cat didn’t jump.

Hitting -500 was my psychological limit, so last night I suffered and finally ran.

The most tragic part is that this coin’s loan-coin event also didn’t count me—because I didn’t operate in time for a day—😭 but that’s unrelated to this trade.

[But I’ve also made progress this time. In the past, after losing money, I would easily open trades in a rush to get back to even (for example, doing the same-direction flip and shorting again, or trying to patch losses with random trash coins), then randomly copying others’ trades—making the losses even more brutal. This time was the same: I held back the urge ten thousand times to flip and short this garbage to death. In the end, I held back.]

How many times do you have to “pet the cat” (for real • a physical endurance job) before you can make up for it again? 😭😭

In the end, the DCA robot opened a short position on $ACE in my Ant (蚂蚁) account—just for psychological comfort 😭, see Figure 2. Thanks to the buddy in yesterday’s comments—@两盒烟 —for reminding me of the DCA method I haven’t played in a long time.
