China released a batch of economic indicators for 2026 and 2025, including GDP, CPI, PPI, retail sales, investment, money supply, lending, trade and foreign exchange reserves, according to ETNet.
The data showed second-quarter 2026 GDP rose 4.3% year on year to RMB 36.1511 trillion, while first-quarter GDP grew 5.0% to RMB 33.4193 trillion. Full-year 2025 GDP increased 5.0% to RMB 140.1879 trillion. July CPI rose 0.5% and PPI climbed 3.5%, while industrial output, retail sales and fixed-asset investment figures for January-July were also reported. China’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $3.418776 trillion at the end of July. Exports rose 23.9% in July and imports increased 27.5%, leaving a January-July trade surplus of $687.37 billion. The manufacturing PMI fell to 49.2 in July, down 1.1 percentage points from the previous month.
