I have to say, Trump did this pretty solidly

At tonight’s White House livestream at the press conference on medical affordability, Trump once again took aim at U.S. drug prices: nine more pharmaceutical companies have been added to the “most-favored-nation” drug pricing agreement, which now covers about 89% of the U.S. branded drug market

This isn’t just talk. Earlier policies have already led to price cuts of 50%—90% or more for some medicines. For GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, which originally cost $1,000—$1,350 per month, some channels have already pushed the price down to $350, and even the starting dose is as low as $199

Moreover, overall prices for prescription drugs in the U.S. have fallen by 3.9% this year alone. The White House says this is the largest year-over-year drop in more than 60 years.

I often criticize Trump for his marketing moves, but one thing is one thing: cutting directly into pharmaceutical companies’ profits so ordinary people can spend less real money—this is indeed worth praising 👍
