If someone is destined to leave, then what meaning does their appearance have?

No matter what role or identity someone has as they intersect with you, in essence they are there to help you complete your personal growth lessons.

Some teach you love, some teach you pain. Some help you see your own cowardice, and some help you grow armor.

Once you truly understand this, you no longer have attachment to coming together or parting.
Allow everything to pass through your heart, and allow everything not to stay.
