⚖️ Meta just won a lawsuit in an antitrust case alleging exclusive purchasing practices on Instagram.
A federal judge in San Jose, California dismissed a lawsuit filed by startup Ollywan (London) for being filed too late and for failing to prove competitive harm. Ollywan accused Meta of copying its tag-based shopping model before Instagram Shopping launched in 2016.
Why it matters: This is another ruling favorable to Meta amid a series of antitrust cases, after they won the FTC case last year.
Simply put: The court said the startup is blaming Meta instead of acknowledging its own failure.
