And maybe that’s why it still hurts even more how it ended.
His last match with Argentina was that final against Spain 🇪🇸 ES. A final that for many left decisions that were hard to explain and a feeling that hasn’t gone away yet.
Messi wrote his farewell just two days after that final.
He himself said today: “I emptied myself out, I don’t have anything more to give.”
