Strategy resumed buying operations for Bitcoin after a 10-week pause, returning to the digital-asset accumulation strategy it is known for, following a drop in the crypto market that pressured the company’s stock, weakened investors’ confidence in the model financing the purchase operations, and prompted management to reorganize its balance-sheet structure.
According to a filing the company submitted on Monday, Strategy bought about $369.7 million worth of Bitcoin during the week ended on August 30. The company, which was co-founded and is led by Michael Saylor, is the largest buyer of Bitcoin among companies that adopt a strategy of holding the digital currency in their treasuries.
