⚡ A Bitcoin wallet $BTC 12 years old has just “woken up” and intentionally destroyed $1 million worth of BTC in just a few transactions.

The wallet owner sent 20.00010537 BTC (about $1 million) to a custody unit, withdrew it, and then transferred everything to an address that cannot be spent. Chainalysis identified 5 other wallets that also destroyed a total of 107 BTC (about $8.5 million) back in May, all controlled by the same person.

Why is this notable?
On-chain analysis shows this Bitcoin originated from the Mt. Gox exchange collapse—meaning a seasoned player is actively burning assets rather than selling.

Simply put:
Someone has just destroyed millions of dollars in Bitcoin forever, shrinking the market supply while nobody knows the motive.
