### October 1: Is “Uptober” About to Return? 👀
October has arrived, and crypto traders know what that usually means:
Uptober.
But I don't want to call it a guaranteed bullish month. Crypto has a habit of teaching us that history can repeat — but it rarely repeats in exactly the same way.
Look at the bigger picture.
Historically, October has been one of Bitcoin's stronger months. In fact, the broader crypto market finished October higher than September in 8 of the last 10 years in CoinGecko's historical analysis. But there were exceptions, including 2018 — and more recently, October 2025 broke Bitcoin's seven-year winning streak for the month.
So what could October bring this time?
My view is simple:
Don't trade the calendar. Trade the confirmation.
If $BTC starts October with rising spot volume, stronger market breadth and a convincing break above important resistance, that could give the “Uptober” narrative some real fuel.
If Bitcoin moves first, I would then watch whether $ETH and quality altcoins begin following.
Some names I’ll be watching:
$BTC
$ETH
$BNB
$SOL
$LINK
But there is another side to the story.
A strong historical average doesn't mean Bitcoin has to go up every day. Some previous “Uptober” months experienced significant pullbacks before finishing higher. October 2022, for example, spent much of the month under pressure before recovering into a positive monthly close.
That gives me one important rule for October:
Don't FOMO into the first green candle.
Let the market prove the trend.
My October checklist 📌
🔹 BTC holds higher lows
🔹 ETH/BTC starts showing strength
🔹 Breakouts are followed by successful retests
But if $BTC loses key support and the market starts showing weak volume, the “Uptober” story may become nothing more than a catchy name.
History gives us a clue. Price action gives us the answer.
So, October 1 question:
🚀 Uptober 2026 — are we about to see history repeat, or is crypto preparing another surprise?
