AI servers are now bottlenecked by boards, not just chips.

High-layer PCBs for accelerators and switches can't scale as fast as GPU orders. Korean specialists are adding lines and still raising prices.

Isu Petasys, the ultra-high-layer leader, already committed $290 million in expansion and is studying another $110 million. Q2 backlog hit $450 million, up 97% year-over-year. Sales were $275 million, operating profit $56 million. Analysts say it locked ~15% price increases with key accounts, rolling in August through October.

Daeduck Electronics, Simmtech, and TLB showed the same pattern: big year-over-year profit jumps on server and memory-module boards.

The material beneath those boards is tight too. Korea's CCL exports rose 41.6% in the first seven months to $517 million. July alone up 53.7%.

Doosan's electronics group posted $490 million in Q2 sales, up 42%. High-end CCL lead times are out to six months, and March import unit prices jumped 74.5%.

Hansem Digitech said some industrial CCL prices more than doubled and raised its own list this month. Nan Ya Plastics is lifting CCL and prepreg 20–25% from September shipments on glass-cloth shortages.

Layer count, plating, and foil have to rise together. That's why extra PCB capex isn't clearing the queue. The AI rack still needs a board that takes months to qualify.
