😐 GoPlus: Hackers took over the site and X account of Real Trump Coins and made more than $8.2m.
Scammers launched the GOLD memecoin and began promoting it on behalf of a company. They drove the token’s market cap up to $60m, then crashed its price and profited from the scheme by more than $8.2m.
GoPlus researchers also linked this same group to the token PLATINUM. Its contract allows the attackers to withdraw the entire balance of any holder.
Real Trump Coins is an official licensed project with collectible physical coins of Donald Trump, which was previously promoted by Trump himself.
