Gold 4446: after pulling back from the 4401 low by 40 bucks, in the four-hour chart there are six candlesticks with four green ones—looks like it’s trying to stop the fall. But when I flip to the capital flow, I see a “thorn”: spot large orders show net inflow of 0, not a single penny of spot money has come in—this momentum is blown up by contract leverage.
On the futures side, the bottom is being handed over: open interest is up +4.9% over seven hours; aggressive order volume can push the price up by 19%, but the buy-volume ratio is only just over 50%. Money is stacking on the order book, yet it’s not willing to use spot to support it. This isn’t a rebound—it’s piling positions onto an ongoing downtrend.
To make matters worse, there’s the fee rate: +0.012% sits above the 8-period moving average—longs are paying the “fuel.” In the account, longs are 72.5% and they’re adding all the way, while the Canadian contract longs’ share actually gets cut by 6%—small retail longs rush in, but the big positions quietly撤 (withdraw).
Price is stuck below MA50, and the daily chart is still DOWN.
My stance: I’m going short. Without spot confirmation, this is adding leverage onto the daily downtrend; once 4401 breaks, that’s the next leg.
When do I turn bullish? When spot large orders turn positive net inflow, the price rises with volume and reclaims above 4454, and the daily chart turns UP—when all three line up, I’ll admit defeat.
