ByteDance recently held a Doubao equity briefing and introduced new employee compensation terms. According to ChainCatcher, the Doubao share price was raised from $14.85 in June to $17.02, an increase of about 14.6%, and some employees may receive Doubao shares worth about 5% of total compensation.
Employees can also choose to convert a portion of their cash compensation into Doubao shares, with the ratio varying by seniority. The changes mainly apply to the Seed large-model division, including pretraining, multimodal, and VLM teams, as well as the main Doubao app team under Flow.
From April's $13.08 to August's $17.02, Doubao shares have risen about 30.1% in less than half a year, roughly twice the increase of ByteDance options over the same period, which was about 14.5%.
