Trump Calls It "The Biggest Oil Deal in World History."

The U.S. and Venezuela have struck a sweeping deal covering 17 oil fields with roughly 65 billion barrels of potential reserves. The reported structure gives the U.S. 55% of the venture’s effective output, including rights to buy crude at cost, while Venezuela could receive around 100 billion dollars in investment.

Trump also says Venezuelan crude will help refill America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

65 billion barrels. Energy geopolitics just changed.
