167.86%! SKR’s chart directly pulled my attention away from BTC. Everyone online is watching that little bit of movement in the big pie; the real opportunity to make money just isn’t there.

Honestly, the story Seeker tells about a “decentralized mobile ecosystem” is pretty interesting that at this point in time it can still pull out this kind of range. The price went from 0.0095 to 0.0348—nearly a 4x move. Even though it’s now retraced to 0.032, it’s still hugging the area near the 24h high. The key is the funding rate at -0.2871%: the shorts are basically trapped, unable to breathe. This kind of negative funding rate combined with price consolidating near the highs often means the shorts haven’t given up—they’re still trying to fight against the trend.

But I need to pour some cold water. The current price is at about the 89% position within the range. Chasing in here is no different than licking blood off the blade. The volume spike of 1.9x is indeed good, but I’ve seen way too many cases where a volume-driven surge runs up and then gets slashed in half. (Last month, a friend of mine actually chased at the top—talking more than that is just tears.) If you’re a short-term trader, I’d be more inclined to wait for a pullback to the 0.0212 support zone before considering a long. Stop loss below 0.019. First target at 0.0348, with an R:R of roughly 1:3. The trade invalidation is simple: if price drops below 0.021 and volume expands, it means this rally was just a pure funding/positioning game—the story is over and you should leave.

Now ZORA: +53%, and volume expanded to 4.7x average volume. This volume-price coordination is the most solid among the three coins today. But the funding rate is -0.5584%, and that number is pretty extreme. Shorts are crowded to that extent, so upside rebound momentum is still there—but be careful about the violent volatility caused by a cascade of liquidations. Price is at 0.0095; it’s only about 5% away from resistance at 0.01006, but there’s about 28% room to downside support at 0.00742. My plan: slightly bullish direction, but either wait for a breakout above 0.01006 and confirmation (holding above), before entering; or wait to set up on the pullback into the 0.00742–0.008 range, with a stop loss below 0.007. Targets: first 0.01006; if it breaks, then look for a new high. Invalidation: if it drops below 0.0074 on expanding volume, then this is a false breakout, and all long setups become invalid.

HEMI is +37.88%. Price has already climbed to around the 97% position in the range, just one step away from 0.01598. Honestly, I’m a bit uneasy at this spot—the risk of a high-to-low pullback is too big. The funding rate at 0.0324% is still fairly normal, suggesting market sentiment isn’t at the “crazy” level. However, the combination of a volume contraction rally (only 1.5x average volume) and the price sitting near prior highs makes me lean toward staying on the sidelines. If you really want to participate, you can only wait for a confirmed breakout above 0.01598 with volume, or wait for a pullback to around 0.01295. Mid-range levels have too poor a value-for-money.

As for the overall market: BTC is chopping sideways around 77K. Meanwhile ETH is weaker, and the Fear & Greed Index is at 50 right in the middle. In this kind of situation, I don’t think you need to be too aggressive. Altcoin rallies are often pulse-like; chasing highs can get you buried.

Oh, and on the losers list: MAGMA -36.56% and 4 -21.37%. Both are seeing rivers of blood today, starkly contrasting with the gainers list. When market capital is rotating like crazy, it really tests your discipline.

My overall take: in the short term, SKR and ZORA’s negative funding rates plus the volume expansion indicate that the people who are short are still stubbornly resisting. The rebound might not be fully over, but it has already entered a phase of heated tug-of-war. For the medium term: if this kind of surge at this scale doesn’t have ongoing fundamental catalysts, it’s likely to revert back toward the mean.

If you already have positions, protect your profits; if you don’t, wait for a pullback—don’t rush.

One last question: do you think SKR’s “decentralized mobile ecosystem” story can hold up for this market cap? Let’s discuss in the comments.
