Sany Heavy Industry (06031) shares rose 4.97% to RMB20.05 in Shanghai trading, while its Hong Kong-listed stock gained 4.9%, after the construction machinery maker reported stronger first-half results, according to ETNet.

The company said on August 30 that net profit rose nearly 10% year on year to RMB5.69 billion, revenue increased 19.7% to RMB53.306 billion, and basic earnings per share came in at RMB0.6217. It said the improvement was supported by robust global mining and infrastructure demand, as well as a steady increase in its global market share. Domestic and overseas sales both grew during the period.
