The CEO of Japanese company Metaplanet, Simon Gerovich, said that the ground of #bitcoin is already here and that buyers arriving now are not going anywhere. Gerovich refers to the fact that the buyer base has shifted from short-term speculators to corporate entities, investment funds, and sovereign buyers who accumulate assets with a horizon of years or decades.
Metaplanet has led the corporate adoption of Bitcoin in Asia. Gerovich highlights that regulatory openness in key jurisdictions is enabling the massive inflow of capital that previously did not have structural access to the asset. Companies like Metaplanet and Strategy issue debt at low rates or equity to continuously acquire BTC, regardless of short-term volatility, acting as ongoing support for the supply available in the market.
Fundstrat cofounder and president of Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Tom Lee, said that #Ethereum is still greatly undervalued and remains the best positioned to capture the future growth of the financial system. Lee argues that the ETH token is trading far below its real value. He contends that while the market continues to act as if it were stuck in a crypto winter, the network’s underlying fundamentals are stronger than ever.
Lee noted that if #Bitcoin reaches US$150,000 and the ETH/BTC pair recovers modestly toward 0.04, Ethereum’s price could be near US$6,000 in the short and medium term. He also mentioned that the approval of the CLARITY law as an important short-term catalyst to provide certainty for traditional financial institutions that want to build on the network.
💥A trader has just opened a 10X long position in the ETH token worth US$102 million.🙈🙉🙊
