In her speech, she tried to perfume an agreement that, in all appearances, is a bad deal for future generations. If Mrs. Delcy is so sure about this agreement, why doesn’t she submit it to a referendum and let the people decide? She does not have electoral legitimacy to make that agreement—she is only an acting official. Imagine for a moment that they leave a caretaker in charge of your house while you travel to another country, and when you come back, that person has sold your house.
