Polygon has just patched several security vulnerabilities on its network through two hard forks named Austin and Kyoto.
The vulnerabilities are in two software components, Bor and Heimdall, which could cause network congestion or cause validators to become overloaded. The most dangerous issue is the Heimdall bug, which could overload validators and disrupt the entire network.
Polygon said the bugs were fixed before being disclosed and that it has not recorded any cases of exploitation on mainnet. (the old name is MATIC, now POL) $POL
