One of the trades I remember most wasn’t because it was my biggest win.

It was because, for once, I actually listened to the plan I had made before the emotions started talking. 😭

I entered the trade after watching the setup for a while. Nothing dramatic, no “this is going to the moon” feeling, just a level I had been waiting for and a clear idea of where I wanted to get out.

Then the price started moving in my favor.

And that’s when the dangerous part started.

Not the market.

Me.

The closer it got to my target, the more I wanted to move the target higher.

“Maybe just a little more.”

“What if it keeps running?”

“Imagine selling now and watching it pump right after.”

I think every trader knows that conversation. 😂

For a few minutes I almost convinced myself that changing the plan was somehow “being flexible.”

But then I remembered why I had chosen that exit before entering the trade in the first place.

So I closed it.

No perfect top.

No screenshot of some impossible percentage.

Just a clean exit that followed the original plan.

A little later, the price pulled back.

Of course I felt relieved, but the part that stayed with me wasn’t that the market moved down afterward.

It was realizing that I had finally taken a decision without letting greed rewrite it halfway through.

That trade changed something for me.

Before, I thought discipline meant knowing when to enter.

Now I think it also means being willing to leave when your plan says you’re done, even when your emotions are begging for “just one more candle.”

I still miss moves.

I still exit too early sometimes.

And yes, I still occasionally watch a coin continue upward after I sell and think, “Seriously?” 😭

But I’d rather miss part of a move than turn every good trade into a test of how greedy I can become.

The profit was nice.

The better feeling was knowing that, for once, I kept my word to myself.
