【Observe and Learn · Beginner’s Diary】2026-08-29

Today, “CoinGecko’s trending search rankings are covered by Pons (PONS) (market cap rank 201), Cash Cat (CASHCAT) (market cap rank 165), and Hyperliquid (HYPE) (market cap rank 10) — while Binance has a new announcement today.” — the hot topics change every day, but the basic concepts for a beginner won’t expire. So I’ll take this opportunity to write down a piece.

I’ve seen a lot of stories about “getting rich with contracts,” and even more stories about “wiping out overnight.” As a beginner, I set stage-based rules for myself: first understand spot and basic risk, then talk about leverage.

**My current understanding**
Leverage amplifies both profits and losses, as well as the speed of liquidation. You think you’re discussing trading strategy, but often you’re really trading the question of “whether you can withstand volatility.”

**Stage rules (written for myself)**
1) Can explain in your own words: roughly what margin, liquidation, and funding rates are
2) Have a written per-trade risk limit
3) A calm mechanism after consecutive losses

Before that, high leverage for me = a casino, not a classroom.
Learning notes, not investment advice. When observing the volatility of $BTC , prioritize training your mindset and position sizing—not multipliers.

Do you think beginners should touch high leverage? Tell me your reasons.
