On the subway after work, I saw $RKLB . My first reaction wasn’t whether it’s up or not—it was: why is the market fixating on it now?

Today, on Binance’s US stock perpetual futures ranking, it’s near the front. Over the past 24 hours, it only moved +0.11%, not exactly a meltdown.

But its order book isn’t cold at all—trading volume is $4.04M, and open contract positions are 141,163 contracts.

This feels like people aren’t chasing a single emotion-driven green candle; they’re squatting in advance for a “story that hasn’t been fully told yet.”

I’m personally leaning bullish—not because the name sounds good, but because the aerospace and space-related theme naturally tends to benefit from long-term narratives.

Honestly, the market is now more willing to give companies like this extra attention. It’s not just about dreams—it’s also about whether it can slowly turn “high barriers” into real execution.

From what I understand, Rocket Lab is broadly heading in that direction.

The most attractive part of this kind of track for capital is that once it’s proven it can keep delivering consistently, it’s not quite the same as ordinary hot concepts. Substituting it isn’t that easy.

You can think of it as: it’s not something you can simply copy by casually building an app.

Also, the funding rate right now is still +0.0000%. If anything, I feel it’s not that crowded.

If a stock everyone’s talking about is already high in buzz, but the funding rate hasn’t noticeably spiked, it suggests this wave of attention is more like “someone is taking a serious look,” not pure emotion squeezing the market until it’s blazing hot.

After I finished washing up last night and came out, I was the only one in the living room staring at the glowing screen. I checked this one back and forth a few times.

Today its high and low are between $65.52 and $63.58—the fluctuations aren’t outrageous. In this kind of state, I’d rather interpret it as capital observing than excitement ready to go all-in.

Of course, I’ve always felt aerospace-related companies have huge imagination, but the pace of execution may not keep up.

As long as the market’s taste for growth stocks changes later on, or the hype around the theme fades, this kind of stock can also make people feel trapped.

So I’m not blindly charging in. I just think that, for the question of “why is the market fixating on it now?” the answer is probably this: it sits in a sufficiently recognizable niche, attention has already arrived, and the fundamental narrative isn’t just empty talk.

I’ll keep an eye on it, but I won’t chase too urgently.
