$BTR direction biased upward, but I won’t chase above 0.21. Binance futures moved from around 0.1713 to 0.2222 within about two hours, then consolidated between 0.208–0.218. Alpha price is also around 0.212, with both paths aligning—this isn’t a single-contract wick.
What’s interesting is that open interest only increased from 296 million units to 304 million units, about 3%—far smaller than the price rise. This looks more like Alpha re-pricing combined with short covering, not just fresh leverage. Short accounts still make up 71.1%, but the funding rate has already turned positive at +0.078%, and long positions’ average cost is also rising. In the BSC main pool, 24h volume is about $13.7M, pool liquidity is around $0.81M; trading volume is heavy relative to the pool, so volatility won’t be small.
I’m only waiting for a pullback to 0.205–0.209 to hold before going long, or for a 1-hour close above 0.224 to confirm. A break below 0.198 invalidates the setup. The most critical thing is whether open interest follows through at the breakout, rather than continuing to rely only on covering. #BTR #Bitlayer #BTCFi
