Ethereum spot ETF sees its strongest wave of inflows: net inflows of $1.42 billion over 9 trading days, with BlackRock alone taking up 70%.

Data shows that on August 28, Ethereum spot ETF recorded a daily net inflow of $225.8 million, marking the strongest single-day performance in 10 months. BlackRock’s ETHA cumulatively absorbed $1.02 billion, accounting for 72% of total flows across all products, and it has been present for 9 straight days without a miss. Fidelity’s FETH brought in $56.2 million in a single day, while BlackRock’s staking product ETHB also contributed $20.7 million.

Even more noteworthy is the structure of the flows: the daily inflow gap between Ethereum and Bitcoin fund products has narrowed from the initial 10x to $16.5 million. Institutions are using real capital to close the valuation gap between the two major assets. But spot trading volume remains relatively weak, sitting at the 16th percentile for the year, suggesting this wave is more about allocation-driven capital entering rather than short-term speculation.

Sustained inflows are a trend; if trading volume can’t keep up, that’s a concern. After Ethereum breaks above the 200-week moving average, is it building momentum—or overextending? What’s your take?
