The market is fixated on $BTC right now. It’s not just these two people calling for 1 million—everyone is looking for a “handle” to answer whether the bull run can continue.
Brian has been adjusting his target all along, from 1 million down to 300,000–400,000, and recently he even said the possibility of 100,000 by year-end isn’t small. CZ, on the other hand, is even more aggressive—he’s gone straight to talking about the next round of super–gold market cap. Big words naturally bring back engagement, but the price is still sitting at 77,543.99, and over the past 24 hours it’s down 2.817%.
I’m a bit bearish.
The reason is simple: they talk about the distant future, but the chart first puts the nearby problems right in your face. Today’s high is 79,838.73 and the low is 76,888. The up-and-down swing of this step already shows that there are people running from the top, and there are also buyers stepping in from below—but neither side is strong enough.
Look at the futures too: 24-hour volume is 14,036.79M, while spot is only 1,293.50M—basically a 10.9× disparity. The funding rate is only +0.0100%, open interest is 106,783 BTC. This feels more like traders testing each other rather than big money calmly lifting the cart.
I’ll admit it: what CZ said back then around 16,000—$BTC —he didn’t die from it. That part is correct. But getting it right once doesn’t mean that at this position you can still use your mouth to prop the price up.
If you truly believe in 1 million, at 77,000 here, are you willing to go heavy, or are you only brave enough to chant slogans in the comments?
