August 29 | BTC surged to 80,000 then retreated: Is the bull market here—are we just coming back to take a quick photo?

BTC briefly climbed to about $81,300, hitting a three-month high, and now it has slipped back to around $77,000. Many people chase when a breakout happens, and when it pulls back they immediately shout “waterfall.” But by August, there’s already been a sizable rally, so profit-taking isn’t unexpected.

Right now, I only watch three things:

① Whether an effective support can form near $77,000;
② Whether, afterward, there is a surge in volume to reclaim the $80,000 level;
③ Whether ETF inflows can be sustained—not just lively for a few days.

Holding support and then reclaiming $80,000 is strong digestion; if it breaks support and sell-off volume keeps expanding, the room for further pullback may continue to open.

At this point, I won’t get excited because of a single bullish candle, and I won’t panic because of a single bearish one. The market’s favorite targets are never the people who got the direction wrong—it’s the ones who lack patience and keep changing their plans.
