CZ SEES BITCOIN CHALLENGING GOLD IN THE NEXT BULL CYCLE

Speaking at Bitcoin Asia 2026 in Hong Kong, Binance co-founder CZ outlined a bold long-term view: Bitcoin’s market capitalization could eventually surpass gold’s in the next major bull cycle.

Gold remains the dominant global reserve asset, with a market value currently estimated at more than 10 times that of Bitcoin. For BTC to overtake it, the shift would require enormous capital inflows and a major change in how investors perceive digital assets.

But CZ’s point goes beyond a simple price target. If Bitcoin moves from being viewed primarily as a speculative asset toward becoming a credible reserve asset, its role in global portfolios could change significantly.

🤖 AI + CRYPTO: THE NEXT FRONTIER

CZ also highlighted stablecoins as one of the first major areas where artificial intelligence and crypto could converge.

AI agents need fast, programmable and globally accessible payment infrastructure. Stablecoins can potentially provide exactly that, allowing AI-driven systems to move value, settle transactions and interact with financial services without relying entirely on traditional banking rails.

This could open a much larger narrative: AI-powered financial infrastructure built on crypto rails.

The bigger question is no longer simply whether Bitcoin can compete with gold. It is whether crypto infrastructure can become a financial layer for an economy increasingly driven by autonomous AI systems.

If that transition accelerates, the next bull cycle could be about far more than price.
