Colombia’s stock market closed trading on Friday down amid negative performance from the financial sectors, COL Investment, and public utilities.

At the time of closing on the Colombian Stock Exchange, the COLCAP fell by 1.28%.

The top gainers among COLCAP index components following today’s trading were Etb shares (BVC:ETB), which rose by 5.50 points (6.47%), closing at 90.50. Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECOPETROL) shares increased by 75.00 points (2.91%), ending trading at 2,650.00. Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC:GEB) shares gained 50.00 points (1.75%), closing at 2,900.00.

The decliners were led by shares of Grupo Cibest SA (BVC:CIBEST), whose price fell by 1,420.00 p. (1.55%), closing the session at 90,480.00. Shares of Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:PFDAVVNDA) rose by 360.00 p. (1.41%), closing at 25,200.00, while Grupo Argos SA (BVC:GRUPOARGOS) declined by 280.00 p. (1.33%) and finished trading at 20,700.00.

On the Colombian stock exchange, the number of shares that fell in price (0) exceeded the number of those that closed in the green (0).

Futures on futures for US coffee with delivery in December added 0.95%, or 2.95, reaching $312.60. As for other commodities, US cocoa futures with delivery in December rose 7.50%, or 463.00, to $6,636.00. Gold futures with delivery in December fell by 3.43%, or 159.90, to $4,504.10 per troy ounce.

Meanwhile, on the forex market the USD/COP pair rose by 1.46% to 3,211.02, and BRL/COP quotes increased by 0.85%, reaching 618.25.
