ETH Taker Buy/Sell Ratio drops to an extreme 0.81 on Binance: local bottom or continuation of the sell-off? 📉⚡️
The active buy/sell ratio (Taker Buy/Sell Ratio) for $ETH on Binance futures has broken the 0.81 mark. This is one of the lowest readings in the past few months, showing the aggressive dominance of market sellers (takers) who are dumping through the order book.
What does this mean technically and fundamentally:
• Short-seller dominance and panic exits: A coefficient of 0.81 means that for every coin bought at market price, there is a substantially larger volume being sold. The futures market is pricing in a short-term dead-cross.
• Contrarian signal: Historically, such extreme derivative capitulation levels very often precede a Short Squeeze. When the order book is overloaded with market shorts, any spot buyback can trigger a cascade of liquidations upward.
• Divergence with spot and ETFs: While derivatives are panicking within the local range of $2,400–$2,500, institutional inflows into spot Ethereum ETFs show positive momentum.
This single indicator alone does not guarantee an immediate reversal, but it clearly shows that sellers are operating at the point of exhaustion.#FedSeptRateHikeOddsRiseTo57%
