Ethereum actually also faces this problem. It has very strong fundamentals and an ecosystem, but the market’s primary pricing logic for it is still “as BTC rises to where it goes, ETH should rise by how much.” It hasn’t fully acquired an independent cycle yet.

A market without an independent pricing system is an immature market.

An immature market needs more projects to emerge with independent trends, gradually weeding out the “old guard” that is still anchored to a four-year cycle.

Hyep should succeed—so that, as a broad category of crypto assets, it can achieve counter-cycle “independent pricing.” In essence, it opens up a vast stage.

I believe more projects of this kind will appear. In the future, there will be more Hype seeking projects that can have their own economic cycle, rather than always just clinging to the “Bitcoin” benchmark asset class.

Treating Bitcoin as an index, and continually making markets tied to Bitcoin, is not scientific, not sustainable, and doesn’t provide a broader stage.
