Linda Kitchen, whose husband Geoff died after severe turbulence on a Singapore Airlines flight from London Heathrow in May 2024, has begun High Court proceedings against the airline, according to BBC. Lawyers for Kitchen, 74, said she broke her back in the incident, which caused the aircraft to drop around 6,000 ft and divert to Bangkok for an emergency landing. Kitchen is seeking damages to help fund specialist support for her injuries. It is understood Geoff suffered a heart attack after the sudden drop at high altitude.
