Today’s Crypto Headlines

1) Fed Chair Waller reiterated the 2% inflation target at Jackson Hole, saying recent data does not show any clear improvement in underlying inflation. After the speech, BTC briefly fell back below $80,000; the interest-rate path has once again become the key focus for short-term pricing.

2) Solana’s first binding governance vote passed the “double deflation” proposal. The annual inflation reduction rate was raised from 15% to 30%, and over the next six years it is expected that about 18.9 million fewer SOL will be issued. Dilution pressure for token holders decreases, but validator staking rewards may also face downward pressure.

3) Bitwise’s SOL staking ETF net assets briefly exceeded $1 billion on Monday, with the latest value on its website at about $976 million. Institutional demand remains strong, but the fund size has fluctuated rapidly with SOL’s price; AUM growth cannot be directly equated with sustained buying pressure.

Conclusion: The main theme in the market is “macro tightened, with structural divergence.” Chasing rallies at higher levels is no longer as cost-effective. SOL’s supply contraction and productized demand are better suited to confirmation on pullbacks, rather than chasing message-driven price spikes.
