Pinterest Inc shares (New York:PINS) fell by 3.8% during trading after the close of the market on Friday following the announcement of the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Julia Brou Donnely, who is leaving the company for new opportunities.

Donnelly submitted her resignation on Wednesday and will remain with the company until 30.10.2026 to ensure the planned transition of duties, according to Form 8-K. The company stated that her departure is not the result of any disagreements with Pinterest regarding matters related to the company’s business, its policies or practices, including its principles and methods of accounting. Pinterest has appointed Vikram Naydu, 40, as interim Chief Financial Officer effective 30.10.2026. Naydu currently serves as Vice President of Finance and Business Operations, a position he has held since March 2024. In this role, he leads the company’s Finance and Operations function, overseeing financial planning and analysis across the organization.

The Chief Financial Officer’s responsibilities will be assigned to him in addition to his current role. The company has begun an external search for a permanent successor to Donnelly.

Before joining Pinterest, Nayar served as Vice President of Finance at Verkada Inc. from January 2023 to March 2024. Previously, he held a series of roles with increasing levels of responsibility at Lyft, Inc. from 2015 to 2022, including Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2019 to 2021 and Vice President of Finance from 2021 to 2022.
