5 a.m. is when only a few people are probably still glued to the charts. Everyone online is shouting that BTC will drop to $77,000, and the panic sentiment is maxed out. But honestly, I actually feel like this drop is a bit “fake.”
XAUT is currently at $4,454, down 3% over the past 24 hours. From the high of $4,617 all the way down, it even dipped to a low of $4,445—right on the long-term support band my system has drawn. What’s interesting is that gold tokens never move around like BTC does with those random wick spikes. This slow, bearish drift is actually more worth studying.
My grid system placed an order around $4,460. I’m currently at a small unrealized loss, but I’m not worried. With XAUT, volatility is low. Trying to chase trends by buying up and selling down is basically looking for trouble—grinding it out with a grid is the right approach. The system signals are still “slightly more bullish than bearish”—but I manually added one more position for a reason: with BTC already down like this, why is XAUT only down 3%? The buy-side support below is clearly stronger than the broader market.
ETH is also brutal today—$2,427, down roughly the same as XAUT. But theirs is a high-level plunge, while ours is just hovering along the cost line. The psychology is completely different.
To be honest, at this point I don’t think it’s a moment for panic. Instead, it feels like the calm before the storm. The more one-sided the market is in expecting downside, the more I feel a rebound is coming quickly. Of course, it could just be me talking tough—we’ll see when I get slapped in the face.
How big is your XAUT position right now? Anyone else buying at support like I am?
