🟡 $BTC
Friday, August 28, 2026 — The cryptocurrency market is absorbing one of the strongest weeks of the entire year. Bitcoin is holding just below $80,000 after a major rebound in mid-August, which took the world’s best-known cryptocurrency from a monthly low of $62,275 to surpass $81,400. Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have added $3.51 billion this month, beating last October’s record of $3.42 billion. This shows that traditional large investors remain highly interested in the crypto world. The total value of the entire market is now around $2.68 trillion (up 0.9% today), and the famous “Fear and Greed Index” has been showing strong optimism among users for several days in a row.

While Bitcoin leads the way, Ethereum remains steady near $2,500, and Solana stands out as another of the major options with a daily gain of 4% and profits of 17.8% this week (putting SOL above $105 after a brief spike to $110). Today’s news also heavily features regulation: Federal Reserve president Kevin Warsh will deliver an important speech, and the SEC (the U.S. financial regulator) is reviewing the rules on how advisers and funds should custody and protect cryptocurrencies for their clients.
