CryptoPotato and other outlets report that, in the week around August21, Bitcoin ETFs took in about $1.9B while $ETH ETFs added just under $700M, marking their strongest inflow week in roughly10 months. Yahoo Finance and TradingView note that on August24 alone, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $337.6M in net inflows and Ethereum ETFs $116M, with BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA capturing the majority. X-based ETF trackers then show continued strong inflows on August25–27, with daily $BTC and ETH spot inflows in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Over this stretch, BTC climbed from the mid‑$60,000s to above $80,000 and ETH from around $1,900 to the mid‑$2,500s. Bitcoin.com News adds that the move coincided with a derivatives short squeeze, with about $409M in leveraged positions liquidated, roughly $280M of which were shorts.
