AI hype cools off, Korea's KOSPI drops, and the market is repricing.

In the first couple of weeks, AI trading was still the brightest star across the whole market, but this week the wind direction in Korean stocks suddenly changed. With KOSPI retreating, capital pulled out of AI-related themes, and both Samsung and SK hynix came under pressure.

It’s not that the AI thesis is broken—it’s just that it rose too fast and needs to digest. After U.S. AI giants reported earnings, shares surged, and Asia-Pacific markets followed higher. Once sentiment topped out, a natural pullback followed. The AI sectors in the crypto market are also under pressure—AI narratives are linked globally.

When prices rise, talk about dreams; when prices fall, look at the data. AI fundamentals haven’t changed—the only thing that’s changed is the cost basis of positions.
