Korean chips were directly smashed today! KOSPI closed down 1.79%, with SK Hynix plunging 4.45%!
Friday’s closing data:
South Korea’s KOSPI fell 123.48 points, down 1.79%, to 6,788.89 points. SK Hynix fell 4.45%, while Samsung Electronics fell 3.38%.
It was still rising yesterday, but today the chip stocks simply gave back all their gains.
Sentiment across Asia has weakened. There won’t be light pressure on tonight’s U.S. stock market—especially for storage and semiconductor stocks at the open.
