The British government has released a white paper on the regulation of the artificial intelligence industry, outlining five principles for the governance of artificial intelligence such as ChatGPT, namely: safety and robustness, transparency and explainability, fairness, accountability and management, and contestability. In the next 12 months, regulators will issue practical guidelines to relevant organizations, as well as other tools such as risk assessment templates, to develop some specific rules based on the five principles. Legislation will also be promoted in Parliament to develop a specific artificial intelligence bill. (Jinshi)
