【Big institutions are starting to take AVAX seriously】
Charles Schwab has just added AVAX to their crypto platform.
I’ve been watching this for two days. Why? Because it signals a shift in how traditional finance is categorizing AVAX—not anymore a toy for retail gamblers, but something being treated as a legitimate asset.
I’ve spent forty years in the mainstream industry. I know exactly how heavy this kind of signal is. When big institutions move in, it’s not to speculate—they’re here to allocate. What does allocation mean? It means they believe this has long-term value.
But don’t get too excited yet. Institutional confidence and whether AVAX can truly get momentum are two different things. And this is where I’m stuck:
AVAX is down 95% from its peak—so yes, its valuation really is low. The Subnets narrative is something I’ve talked about before; it makes sense in theory—building dedicated chains for enterprises to solve performance and data sovereignty issues. That direction is solid.
The problem is: how many real business cases are actually running? I don’t see signs of large-scale deployment. RWA is a good story, but right now, who isn’t pitching a story in this space?
From a business-logic perspective, what does AVAX’s situation resemble? It looks like Ethereum in 2015—great story, low valuation, but still one breath away from truly changing the industry. Back then, nobody knew whether ETH would actually work out.
So my question is simple: can AVAX keep this momentum going? Institutional endorsement is there, the technical foundation is there, and the valuation is low enough. What’s missing is real, on-the-ground business use cases.
I can’t be sure of the answer, but I lean toward continuing to watch for the next catalyst.
What have you been keeping an eye on lately? Have you seen any projects in the AVAX ecosystem that are truly gaining traction? Tell me about them.
