HashKey has released its 2026 first-half performance. Overall, it can be summarized in one sentence: the business is growing, but there’s still a way to go before true profitability.

Data shows that the company’s first-half revenue reached HK$342.5 million, up 20.6% year over year. The adjusted loss narrowed by 21%, falling to HK$314.8 million.

Among the most worth watching is the fact that the institutional business is becoming an important growth driver for HashKey. 📈 Total platform trading volume increased 31.8% in the first half to HK$282.2 billion. Even faster, institutional clients’ trading volume rose 58.8% year over year to HK$231.5 billion, accounting for more than 82% of total trading volume.

In other words, HashKey’s growth logic is becoming clearer: in the future, what truly drives trading volume may no longer be ordinary users alone, but institutional capital. The matching/trading facilitation business remains the company’s largest revenue source. Related revenue grew 38.6% year over year to HK$267.9 million, making up the majority of total revenue.

At the same time, another segment growing even faster is tokenized assets. 🔥
HashKey disclosed that the scale related to on-chain tangible assets reached HK$2.68 billion, up as much as 167.8% year over year. From real-estate tokenization to regulated silver tokens, and on-chain money market funds, HashKey is continuously expanding its roadmap for bringing traditional assets onto the blockchain. This also reflects a broader trend: in the future, competition in the crypto industry may not be only about whose trading volume is higher, but about who can connect traditional financial institutions, real-world assets, and on-chain financial markets first.

However, the problem cannot be ignored either. Although revenue is growing and losses are narrowing, the adjusted loss of HK$314.8 million is still close to the company’s first-half revenue of HK$342.5 million.

This means HashKey is still in a “high-speed expansion phase.” Institutional trading, asset management, and tokenization are all growing, but operating costs and regional expansion also require substantial capital support.
