【What would DeFi veterans like Compound and Aave think if UNI falls below 3?】

I’ve been thinking about this for days.

With trading volume expanding + momentum staying strong + valuation oversold, the three signals lining up like this is really uncommon. I’m not saying UNI is bound to rise, but I’ll admit: this current situation has made me rethink a few things.

First, the data: it’s up 6% in the past 24 hours, up more than 20% over 7 days, and trading volume has increased—this combination suggests capital is stepping in. But what’s truly interesting is: where is this coming from? Roughly three years ago, the price was about twenty times what it is now. If someone bought at the peak three years ago, they’re down around 90% now. Any market would call this kind of drawdown epic.

So the question is: for an asset with low valuation, if the fundamentals haven’t changed fundamentally, it just grinds at the bottom. What would make UNI truly “take hold” isn’t just the price—it’s the ecosystem. Are people actually using Uniswap for legitimate business? Can DEX volume support its valuation? Or is this move purely driven by sentiment?

I’ll be honest: I haven’t figured it all out. But one thing I’m sure of is this: sustained high-volume at this level isn’t something retail investors can do. So I’m watching, but not chasing. I’ll wait for a clearer signal.

What are you watching? Can the level $ 3 hold?
