Tonight we’ll update a bit on the gold and silver situation before the Fed Chairman’s news release tomorrow.

🟡 Gold – silver tonight on 27/8/2026

👉World gold: Spot gold is around $4,590/oz, after a 1.4% drop in the previous session. The market is cautious ahead of Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh’s speech at Jackson Hole tomorrow.
👉Silver: Spot silver is around $68.3/oz, up slightly by about 0.4% during the session. Silver still maintains a relatively strong trend, but its price swings more than gold.
👉Domestic gold: On 27/8, SJC gold prices at times fell by 300,000 VND per tael, around 147 million VND (buy) – 150 million VND (sell).

🔥 Tonight’s focal point
Fed/Jackson Hole is the factor most likely to create the strongest volatility for gold.
If the Fed sends a softer signal → gold and silver could be supported.
If the tone is hawkish, with USD and yields rising → gold may face pressure.
Silver is drawing more attention for its volatility: around $68/oz and still about 77% higher than one year ago
👉Short-term alpha: Gold is in a “wait-for-catalyst” state, while silver seems more responsive to speculative fund flows. Tomorrow’s session after the Fed speech could be the deciding moment for the next direction.
