📰 Bounty Sentinel · Morning News · 08-28 Friday

BTC rose 1.41% to $79,837, while ETH fell 0.28%. SOL was the standout, up 4.73%—this is a typical risk-on preference split.

The real hotspot is in smaller-cap coins. Over the past 24 hours, SAFE, ANSEM, and TRUMP climbed 21%, 20.1%, and 18.7% respectively. Political-idea tokens and social coins have clearly been attracting capital lately. ENA, a token in the Ethena ecosystem, is up 14.8% over 24 hours to $0.1653. It’s currently #1 on trending searches, with market cap ranking at #52. This suggests the market is still crazily chasing a few more thematic new tokens, rather than clinging to established blue chips. Even a traditional supply-chain concept coin like VeChain is up 11%—showing that even some older “blood” in vertical niches has been reactivated.

The losers’ board is a different story. RUNE is down 8.1%, META down 11.1%, and CASHCAT down 13%. These abandoned coins reflect the market’s one-way expectations—retail traders are rotating quickly, with a very obvious pace of chasing the new and moving on from the old.

Other important notes

VET rose 11% in 24 hours to $0.007171. We’ll need to watch whether its recovery can continue and break above the prior high. Grayscale’s arguments about Zcash’s privacy competitiveness have sparked discussion about Bitcoin network effects; the privacy coin sector could be set for a second round of speculation. Virtu and Tradeweb completed on-chain repurchase transactions, indicating that traditional institutions are genuinely testing the liquidity of digital bonds—an infrastructure “practical use” signal.
