Just looked at the data—there’s something going on.
$MOVR is up 46 points, with the price back at 0.994, and volume at 22.6 million. $BTC is still hovering around 80k—these two trends are completely disconnected. With a chart like $MOVR , it’s obvious the market makers are controlling the order flow. Without any supporting news, it’s basically the playbook of pumping to distribute. At 1 knife, the pressure is too heavy—chasing in is basically handing money to the market maker.
NFP’s drop was 65%. The price got smashed straight to 0.00181, with volume at 3.8 million. This isn’t a normal pullback—it’s a stampede. Liquidity in small caps is already thin. Once someone starts dumping, stop-loss orders can’t get out; anything you post just gets eaten. With this kind of depth, if there’s no bad news catalyst, then either the project team has already run, or big players have been liquidated and forced to close.
$BTC funding rate is 0.0085—it’s still relatively healthy, and there shouldn’t be any major issues in the short term.
My take: don’t chase $MOVR —wait for a pullback below 0.85 before considering it. With NFP dropping 60 points like this, don’t dream of catching the bottom. The “bottom” you think you see might be in the basement.
Has anyone here tried to bottom-fish one of these small coins after a brutal crash? Share how it played out afterward.
